11. Taxonomy of Schistidium (Grimmiaceae, Bryophyta)
Sammanfattning : Schistidium Brid. is a bryophyte genus mainly distributed in temperate to arctic zones. This revision is based on field, herbarium, and literature studies. There are descriptions of the genus and the 12 species and discussions of morphology, relationships, history, nomenclature, habitat, and distribution, and keys to accepted taxa. LÄS MER
12. In the structure of microstructure technology
Sammanfattning : This thesis brings together multiply faceted work within the field of microstructure technology. The different facets contribute to the field in various ways; thereby making an example of the structure of the technology brought forward in the summary. LÄS MER
13. Classically Consistent Theories of Interacting Spin-2 Fields
Sammanfattning : This doctoral thesis comprises a study of recently developed nonlinear theories for massive spin-2 fields that go by the names of Massive Gravity and Bimetric Theory. As we demonstrate in a Hamiltonian analysis, the construction of these theories avoids the notorious Boulware-Deser ghost instability that generically plagues nonlinear spin-2 interactions and renders their description inconsistent. 14. Sustainability of Social Housing in the Urban Tropics
Sammanfattning : The Licentiate thesis looks at sustainable building approaches for social housing in emerging economies. It combines theoretical concepts with practical applications of sustainability and underlines the relevance and strength of multi-dimensional development. LÄS MER
15. Multi-oriented Symplectic Geometry and the Extension of Path Intersection Indices
Sammanfattning : Symplectic geometry can be traced back to Lagrange and his work on celestial mechanics and has since then been a very active field in mathematics, partly because of the applications it offers but also because of the beauty of the objects it deals with.I this thesis we begin by the simplest fact of symplectic geometry.
