    Författare :Abolfazl Hayati; Magnus Mattsson; Mats Sandberg; Jens Fransson; Guilherme Carrilho da Graça; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Natural ventilation; Airing; Air infiltration; Single-sided ventilation; Cross flow; Large single zones; Historical Churches; Model evaluation optimization; Field measurements; Wind tunnel; Indoor climate and Energy simulation; IDA-ICE; Tracer gas technique; Pressurization test.; Naturlig ventilation; Vädring; Luftinfiltration; Ensidig ventilation; Tvärdrag; Höga en-zonsbyggnader; Kulturhistoriska kyrkor; Modellutvärdering optimering; Fältmätningar; Vindtunnel; Inomhusklimat och energisimulering; IDA-ICE; Spårgas teknik; Trycksättningstest.; Hållbar stadsutveckling; Sustainable Urban Development;

    Sammanfattning : Natural ventilation is the dominating ventilation process in ancient buildings like churches, and also in most domestic buildings in Sweden and in the rest of the world. These buildings are naturally ventilated via air infiltration and airing. LÄS MER

  2. 17. Non-contact surface wave measurements on pavements

    Författare :Henrik Bjurström; Nils Rydén; Björn Birgisson; Jinying Zhu; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; seismic testing; asphalt concrete; dynamic modulus; non-contact measurements; rolling measurements; surface waves; Lamb waves; MEMS microphones; Byggvetenskap; Civil and Architectural Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, nondestructive surface wave measurements are presented for characterization of dynamic modulus and layer thickness on different pavements and cement concrete slabs. Air-coupled microphones enable rapid data acquisition without physical contact with the pavement surface. LÄS MER

  3. 18. Propagation environment modeling using scattered field chamber

    Författare :Magnus Otterskog; Dag Stranneby; Pertti Vainikainen; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Reverberation Chamber; Scattered Field Chamber; Propagation environments; Antenna measurements; Electrical engineering; Elektroteknik; Elektronik; Electronics;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis covers the development of the Reverberation Chamber as a measurement tool for cell phone tests in electronic production. It also covers the development of the Scattered Field Chamber as a measurement tool for simulations of real propagation environments. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Studies on the Gamma Radiation Environment in Sweden with Special Reference to 137Cs

    Författare :Sara Almgren; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; gamma radiation; caesium; 137Cs; deposition; migration; precipitation; in situ; CDE; NWF; Chernobyl; soil sampling; field measurements; dose measurements; dose rate; TLD; natural radiation; Kriging;

    Sammanfattning : Gamma radiation in the environment today mainly originates from naturally occurring radionuclides, but anthropogenic radionuclides, such as 137Cs, contribute in some areas. In order to assess population exposure in case of fallout from nuclear weapons (NWF) or accidents, knowledge and monitoring of external gamma radiation and radionuclide concentrations in the environment is important. 5. 20. What have residents got to do with it? : Variations in energy use and energy-related behaviours in single-family houses

    Författare :Carolina Hiller; Jesper Arfvidsson; Thorbjörn Laike; Avdelningen för Byggnadsfysik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; energy use variations; energy-related behaviour; single-family houses; households; residents; multi-disciplinary; field measurements; times-use diaries; energy use over time; load curves; power peaks; energy measurements; residential houses;

    Sammanfattning : To achieve global energy goals, energy use in residential buildings must decrease. The implementation of technical measures is crucial but alone it is not sufficient; residents need to change their behaviour as well. LÄS MER
