21. Analysis of Angiographies in Human Healthy Eyes and in Open-angle Glaucoma : Retinal Mean Transit Time and Optic Nerve Head Circulation
Sammanfattning : Purpose of the studies was to develop a more robust technique to determine retinal mean transit time in healthy and in glaucoma eyes and to evaluate the circulation of the optic nerve head in glaucoma patients. The retinal mean transit time impulse-response method was evaluated in human healthy eyes and normal values and reproducibility were tested. 22. 3-D rate dependent micromechanical model for polymer composites
Sammanfattning : Fibre reinforced polymeric composites are in high demand in automotive and aviation industries to improve fuel efficiency. However, the dynamic behaviour of composites is not very well understood. LÄS MER
23. Colour-changing textile coatings containing multi-layered mica pigments : an experimental study
Sammanfattning : This study investigates the possibility of producing angle-dependent colour-changing textiles with thickened polyurethane (PU)-based aqueous dispersion containing multi-layered mica pigments using a direct coating method. Colour changing textile coatings with the latest generation of layered mica pigment (EP) have a promising future for functional purposes such as authentication and aesthetic eye-catching applications. 24. Functional Textile Coatings Containing Flake-shaped Fillers : investigations on selected optical and electrical properties
Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the manufacturing and characterisation of functionalised textile coatings containing different types of flake-shaped fillers with angle-dependent colour-changing and electrically conductive properties, respectively. Common benefits of these types of flakes are their high aspect ratio, which offers low filler loading with high functional performance. LÄS MER
25. Thermally Modified Timber : Novel Aspects of Bending Behaviour Towards Grading and Structural Applications
Sammanfattning : Thermally modified timber (TMT) has gained market share in Europe as an environmentally friendly and durable building material. Unfortunately, TMT products are currently prohibited for use in structural applications as there is insufficient data to estimate the loss in strength due to thermal modification. LÄS MER
