21. Chalcopyrite Dissolution in Sulphate-Based Leaching and Bioleaching Systems
Sammanfattning : Chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) is the most abundant and the most economically important copper mineral. Increasing worldwide demand for copper accompanied by exhaustion of copper resources necessitate the development of new processes for treating lower-grade copper ores. LÄS MER
22. Flotation selectivity, process modelling and simulation for a complex sulphide ore
Sammanfattning : This thesis covers research with different methods on the same fine-grained complex sulphide ore - Petiknäs - from the Skellefte Field in Northern Sweden. Mineralogical research results demonstrate that the degree of liberation of galena, rather than the chemical factors under the current flotation conditions, is the dominant factor affecting Pb grade and recovery, since galena has the same flotation as chalcopyrite if having the same degree of liberation. 23. Recycling process water in complex sulphide ore flotation
Sammanfattning : An approach to environmental sustainability and improved process economy in sulphide minerals production is recycling of process water in flotation of complex sulphide ores. However process water chemistry may be a critical issue to flotation efficiency. Process water discharged from sulphide flotation circuits are usually gypsum (CaSO4. LÄS MER
24. Development of a protein-free fed-batch process for NS0 cells: studies on regulation of proliferation
Sammanfattning : The overall objective of this study was to investigate how NS0 cell proliferation is regulated in protein-free media. The hypothesis was that during the adaptation to growth factor-free media, animal cell lines start to produce their own autocrine growth factors to support proliferation, and after some time in a culture the effects of these factors are lost which results in cessation of proliferation. 25. To metal, or not to metal : Diverse mechanisms of O2-activation and radical storage in the ferritin superfamily
Sammanfattning : Proteins in the Ferritin-like superfamily are characterized by a four alpha-helical structural motif. These proteins are distributed across all three kingdoms of life and perform a wide range of functions. LÄS MER
