1. Supercritical Hydrogenation of Vegetable Oils
Sammanfattning : Vegetable oils were hydrogenated in a supercritical single-phase mixture with propane and hydrogen. The reaction was carried out in a small (0.5 ml) fixed-bed reactor and the influence of different process parameters was investigated. LÄS MER
2. Fatty acid methyl esters as reactive diluents in solvent-borne thermally cured coil-coatings
Sammanfattning : This work describes how a fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) derived from a vegetable oil can be introduced as reactive diluent in a solvent-borne thermally cured coil-coating system. The evaluated reactive diluent, rape seed methyl ester (RME), has been evaluated both in a fully formulated clear coat system and via model studies. LÄS MER
3. Thermally cured coil-coatings utilizing novel resins and fatty acid methyl esters as reactive diluents
Sammanfattning : Solvent-borne thermally cured coil-coating resins contain large amounts of volatile organic solvents in order to obtain suitable flow for film application. This work describes how the expensive and environmental hazardous volatile organic solvent content of a solvent-borne thermally cured polyester/melamine coil-coating system can be reduced by introduction of fatty acid methyl esters (FAMEs) as reactive diluents and modification of the polyester binder resin. 4. Fatty acid derivatives as monomers in coating applications
Sammanfattning : This work describes the physical and chemical properties ofdifferent fatty acid derivatives. Two uncommon and twoconventional fatty acids have been evaluated as monomers incrosslinking reactions. LÄS MER
5. Chemo-Enzymatic Epoxidation of Unsaturated Fatty Acids
Sammanfattning : Epoxy fatty acids are useful molecules and find a number of applications e.g. as PVC plasticisers and stabilisers, additives in polyurethane production, reactive diluents in paints, corrosion protection agents, etc. LÄS MER
