21. An Optimization Framework for Scheduling of Embedded Real-Time Systems
Sammanfattning : Embedded real-time systems - appearing in products such as cars and mobile phones - are nowadays common in our everyday lives. Despite this fact, the design process of such systems is still cumbersome due to the large variety of design constraints that must be considered to ensure a safe operation of the system. LÄS MER
22. Core Acquisition Management in Remanufacturing : Current Status and Modeling Techniques
Sammanfattning : Remanufacturing is an important product recovery option that benefits our sustainable development. Cores, i.e. the used products/parts, are essential resources for remanufacturing. LÄS MER
23. The neural control of rhythmic motor sequences
Sammanfattning : Sequence learning is one of the most important functions of the motor system since almost every advanced motor skill consists of many component movements that need to be executed in sequential order. For successful performance both, the correct serial order of movements and adequate timing are of importance. LÄS MER
24. Food and Parasites – Life-history Decisions in Copepods
Sammanfattning : In the freshwater copepod, Macrocyclops albidus, food availability, rearing conditions and tapeworm infection clearly affected various life-history traits and their trade-offs. I found that low food availability clearly constrained resource allocations to several life-history (often phenotypically plastic) traits, whereas high food availability either allowed for adjustments in resource allocation patterns or allowed resources to be allocated to several traits without apparent trade-offs. 25. Control of Chromosome and Plasmid Replication in Escherichia coli
Sammanfattning : Life is cellular. Cells grow and divide to give two new cells; this process is called the cell cycle. The chromosome in a bacterium is replicated into two identical copies before the cell divides. DNA replication is a fundamental process common to all forms of life. LÄS MER
