  1. 1. Defects in E-PBF Ti-6Al-4V and their Effect on Fatigue Behaviour : Characteristics, Distribution and Impact on Life

    Författare :Viktor Sandell; Marta-Lena Antti; Pia Åkerfeldt; Thomas Hansson; Hans Andersson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Defects; Additive Manufacturing; Ti-6Al-4V; Probabilistic Modelling; Fatigue; Materialteknik; Engineering Materials;

    Sammanfattning : Layer by layer manufacturing (additive manufacturing, AM) of metals is emerging as an alternative to conventional subtractive manufacturing with the goal of enabling near net-shape production of complex part geometries with reduced material waste and shorter lead times. Recently this field has experienced rapid growth through industrial adaptation but has simultaneously encountered challenges. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Slag/Metal Metallurgy in Iron and Steel Melts

    Författare :Johan Ekengård; Pär Jönsson; Attila Dioszegi; Johan Björkvall; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; austenit; syreaktivitet; slagg; fördelning; primär dendrit; metalldroppar; lamellär grafit; svavel; kompaktgrafit; skänk; nodulär grafit; raffinering; Metallurgical process science; Metallurgisk processvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : In this work, the metal and slag phase mixing in three steps of a ladle refining operation of steel melts and for an oxygen balance during cooling of cast iron melts have been studied at two Swedish steel plants and at two Swedish cast iron foundries, respectively. In order to predict the oxygen activity in the steel bulk in equilibrium with the top slag as well as in metal droplets in the top slag in equilibrium with the top slag, three slag models were used. 3. 3. Growth and decline in rural Sweden : geographical distribution of employment and population 1960–2010

    Författare :Martin Hedlund; Linda Lundmark; Emma Lundholm; Olof Stjernström; Kjell Overvåg; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; rural restructuring; rural heterogeneity; manufacturing decline; agricultural decline; urbanization; rural typology; life-course perspective; cluster analysis; Sweden; Social and Economic Geography; kulturgeografi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the combination of changes in the population and employment into sectors in rural Sweden for the period 1960-2010. The aim is to describe and analyze the demographic changes together with the labour market changes, and to account for the spatial outcome of these changes by considering the heterogeneity of rural areas.     Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; inheritance; direct heirs; successor; will; surviving spouse; testament; distribution; estate;

    Sammanfattning : The present Swedish law of inheritance has developed slowly and is based on ideas stemming from an earlier social structure than that of today. When reforms have been made, modern regulations have been added to a very old structure. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Utbildningens värde : Fördelning, avkastning och social reproduktion under 1900-talet

    Författare :Andreas Melldahl; Mikael Börjesson; Martin Gustavsson; Donald Broady; Marianne Nordli Hansen; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on changes in the value of educational capital over time. Taking as a point of departure Pierre Bourdieu’s notion of a multidimensional social space, the thesis examines how this value is affected when educational assets—through the democratization of education—are becoming more widespread across this space (i.e. LÄS MER
