21. Analysis of Structure, Composition and Growth of Semiconductor Nanowires by Transmission Electron Microscopy
Sammanfattning : Nanowires have the potential to be a very flexible platform for the design of semiconductor devices. In nanowires it is possible to form crystal structures not found in the bulk materials under normal conditions, and to combine different III-V and group IV materials into axial or radial heterostructures. 22. Towards Large-Area Electronic Systems Using Non-Conventional Substrate and Conductor Materials
Sammanfattning : Flexible circuits, also known as flexible printed circuit boards, were originally developed in the 1950s for interconnection between multiple electronic devices when flexibility and movement were required. Nowadays, flexible circuits can be used for implementing electronic systems much more complicated than just interconnections. LÄS MER
24. Intrinsically Proton-Conducting Benzimidazole Units Tethered to Different Polymer Chain Architectures
Sammanfattning : Proton transport is a fundamental process that can be found in many systems in nature, as well as in technical devices, such as fuel cells, electrochromic devices and various types of sensors. Fuel cell technology is considered as environmentally friendly because fuel cells are not limited by the Carnot cycle, and efficiently converts chemical energy into electrical energy which can be used for powering cars, laptops, buildings etc. LÄS MER
25. High-Performance I/O Programming Models for Exascale Computing
Sammanfattning : The success of the exascale supercomputer is largely dependent on novel breakthroughs that overcome the increasing demands for high-performance I/O on HPC. Scientists are aggressively taking advantage of the available compute power of petascale supercomputers to run larger scale and higher-fidelity simulations. LÄS MER
