    Sammanfattning : This thesis treats the mathematical modeling of the human smooth pursuit system using Volterra-Laguerre models. The smooth pursuit system allows for tracking of moving objects. Joint attention behaviors - for example gaze following, alternating gaze, and pointing - play an important role in early development, as they provide a foundation for learning and social interaction. Another field that could benefit from a system that provides information regarding human intentions is the field of psychological testing where such a system could be used as a platform for new research or be one way to provide information in the diagnostic process.
