21. Gene expression in carcinogenesis
Sammanfattning : It is important to understand the processes of carcinogenesis and to find out which genes are involved . One way to study the process on a molecular basis is to identify differences in gene expression. LÄS MER
22. Social kompetens : också ett disciplinerande uttryck
Sammanfattning : This thesis examines how the term social competence is interpreted by professionals, as well as what message it carries at an individual and contextual level when used in the recruitment of new employees. The study includes an analysis of recruitment advertisements that specify social competence as a requirement, of letters from applicants responding to a number of these advertisements, and of reflective conversations with 11 informants. 23. Plant lipid transfer proteins : Evolution, expression and function
Sammanfattning : The plant non-specific lipid transfer proteins (nsLTPs) are known for the ability to transfer different lipids in vitro, but their in vivo functions have not yet been elucidated. They seem to play a role in the defense against biotic and abiotic stresses; the gene expression of nsLTPs is often upregulated when exposed to stresses. LÄS MER
24. Light stress proteins from Arabidopsis thaliana : identification, characterisation and expression
Sammanfattning : Plants are major players in the vital process of photosynthesis that takes place in organelles called chloroplasts. Plant's immobility makes them victims of the tremendous fluctuations in light intensity and quality that often lead to inhibition of their physiological functions. LÄS MER
25. Eosinophil Cationic Protein : Expression Levels and Polymorphisms
Sammanfattning : The eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) is usually associated with the eosinophil granulocyte. In this thesis the presence and production of this protein has been studied in two other cells. The circulating monocyte was found to contain ECP mRNA and small amounts of ECP, one thousand times less than that found in the eosinophil. LÄS MER
