21. Orbital floor fractures - aspects of diagnostic methods, treatment and sequelae
Sammanfattning : Despite surgical intervention, orbital floor fractures are associated with risks of persisting sensibility disturbances, enophthalmos and diplopia. Sammanfattning : The aims of this thesis are to (1) explore the factors related to seeking care (Paper I), (2) describe the association between fatigue and selected symptoms (Paper II), (3) validate a method to detect the symptoms (Paper III) and (4) evaluate home care with respect to health-related quality of life (HRQL), medical safety, and cost-effectiveness in patients with worsening chronic heart failure (CHF) (Paper IV). All studies utilise data on patients with worsened CHF who sought care at the emergency department or heart failure clinic. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : Background: Adults with Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms such as abdominal pain, acid regurgitation, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation and nausea constitute a large part of the patient population in both primary and specialist care. Today, up to half of patients with gastrointestinal symptoms seen by gastroenterologists go through a standard diagnostic work-up usually including endoscopy, laboratory testing, and possibly radiological evaluation but do not show any signs explaining their symptoms.
