  1. 1. Tendinosis in Trigger Finger

    Författare :Anna-Carin Lundin; Per Aspenberg; Pernilla Eliasson T.; Johann Zdolsek; Göran Nylander; Lars Dahlin; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Trigger finger is one of the most common hand conditions, with a prevalence of almost 3%. The aetiology remains unclear even though many causes have been suggested. The prevailing paradigm is that the pathogenesis of trigger finger is ascribed to primary changes in the first fibrous condensation of the tendon sheath (A1-pulley). LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The ability of eukaryotic cells to change their shape and to migrate directionally is highly dependent on active volume regulation in cells building up tissues as well as in individual cells. Transmembrane fluxes of water via specialized water channels, called aquaporins (AQPs), facilitate the changes of volume and shape, which additionally require a complex interplay between the plasma membrane and the cytoskeleton. 3. 3. Similarity-based processes in human multiple-cue judgment : evidence from brain imaging and cognitive modelling

    Författare :Sara Stillesjö; Linnea Karlsson Wirebring; Lars Nyberg; Håkan Nilsson; Alan Sanfey; Umeå universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; multiple-cue judgment; similarity-based; rule-based; exemplar-based model; fMRI; cognitive modelling;

    Sammanfattning : Background: We often make judgments that require the consideration of several sources of information. For example, a teacher that grades a student´s exam question often integrates multiple sources of information (cues: details provided in the answer) into a single criterion dimension (the grade). 4. 4. Evidence-based nursing : reflections from different perspectives

    Författare :Malin Karlberg-Traav; Mats Eriksson; Agneta Cronqvist; Henrietta Forsman; Anne-Marie Boström; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Clinical competence; evidence-based nursing; nursing research; nursing theory; patient’s perspective;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to describe the use of evidence-based nursing (EBN) with respect to the four cornerstones of EBN: research, nursing theory, the patient’s perspective and clinical competence. Study I explored registered nurses (RNs) self-reported research utilization (RU) in relation to their work climate. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Molecular and Genetic Evidence for Antigen Selection in the Pathogenesis of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

    Författare :Lesley Ann Sutton; Richard Rosenquist; John Gribben; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; IGHV4-34; microenvironment; stereotypy; immunoglobulin; intraclonal diversification; clonal evolution;

    Sammanfattning : Antigens play a critical role in the development of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) by binding to and stimulating leukemic precursor cells at some point during CLL ontogeny. Nevertheless, much remains unknown and further studies are necessary before an accurate model of antigen-drive can be ascertained. LÄS MER
