  1. 1. Design for Perception - A human-centric approach to the design of driving automation systems based on the driver’s perception

    Författare :Fjolle Novakazi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; design method; human-centric design; human factors.; mental model; driving automation; cognitive engineering; understanding; empirical research; design tool; perception; levels of automation; mixed-methods research;

    Sammanfattning : The automotive industry is rapidly developing driving automation systems (DAS) with the aim of supporting drivers by means of the automation of longitudinal and lateral vehicle control. As vehicle complexity increases and update-over-the-air features are enabling continuous development of vehicle software and functionality, the driver’s understanding of their responsibility and their vehicle’s capabilities and limitations is becoming significantly more important. 2. 2. Eliciting User Experience Information in Early Design Phases. The CARE Approach to In-Vehicle UX

    Författare :Ingrid M Pettersson; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; user experience; evaluation; in-vehicle; autonomous vehicles; UX; design methods;

    Sammanfattning : Experience-rich input in early phases of a design process can offer valuable information and inspiration to designers. However, there are methodological challenges linked with efforts to understand future user experiences. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Distributed Participatory Design in Multidisciplinary Engineering Projects: Investigating a Sustainable Approach for Ship Design & Construction

    Författare :Steven Mallam; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; User-Centred Design; Naval Architecture; Ergonomics; Built Environment; Maritime; Industrial Design; Knowledge Transfer; Technology Acceptance;

    Sammanfattning : Naval architecture design procedures focus primarily on the technical aspects of engineering specifications, mission requirements and overall survivability of ships and marine structures. In contrast, often little attention or importance is placed on the operational demands of onboard crew and the detailed design characteristics of a ship’s work environment. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Perceived Quality of Cars. A Novel Framework and Evaluation Methodology

    Författare :Kostas Stylidis; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; luxury; knowledge management; engineering; premium; design; engineering; automotive; product quality; ; product development; aesthetics; perceived quality;

    Sammanfattning : The supremacy of the automotive manufacturers today is no longer driven by them achieving a superior manufacturing quality but increasingly depends on the customer’s quality perception. Average car consumers see a car’s quality as a fancy mixture of design, aesthetics, their own previous experiences and performance characteristics of the vehicle, unlike a combination of mechanical parts, software pieces, advanced materials, cutting-edge manufacturing processes, with technical knowledge, skills and high production volumes – all ingredients involved in the modern car creation. 5. 5. Modelo para promoção da mobilidade urbana ativa por bicicleta: uma abordagem do design de serviços para o comportamento sustentável. (Model for promoting active urban mobility by bicycle: a service design approach for sustainable behaviour)

    Författare :Gheysa Prado; Universidade Federal do Parana; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; bicycle; urban mobility; active mobility; design for sustainable behaviour; behaviour change; service design; sustainable urban mobility;

    Sammanfattning : The population growth associated with an accelerated urbanization process - with more than 50% global people living in cities - are weighting negatively on social and ambiental developing aspects. Among the compromised areas is the urban mobility, where the priority has been given to motorized ways of transports other than active mobility. LÄS MER
