1. Micro-structural based acoustic modelling of anisotropic open cell materials
Sammanfattning : A method for the calculation of the acoustic performance of open-cell foammaterials is discussed. From a known micro-structural geometry and theconstituent material, the relevant acoustic properties are computed using apreviously published analytical method for the calculation of the dynamicdrag impedance and a previously published method for the calculation of theelastic moduli. 2. Micro-Structure Modelling of Acoustics of Open Porous Material
Sammanfattning : Transportation is a large and growing part of the world’s energy consumption. This drives a need for reduced weight of rail vehicles, just as it does for road vehicles. In spite of weight reductions, the vehicle still has to provide the same level of acoustic comfort for the passengers. LÄS MER
3. Towards Corporate Sustainable Development : The ITT Flygt Sustainability Index
Sammanfattning : This thesis suggests a method for measurement of corporate contribution to sustainable development, looking at how well a company stands up to its policies and commitments regarding sustainable development.A sustainability index is developed and calculated for ITT Flygt AB over a three years period (2002-2004). 4. Avtalets innebörd : Inkorporering - tolkning - utfyllning
Sammanfattning : What a contract means with regard to the mutual rights and duties of the parties to that contract, depends on what provisions the contract contains (incorporation), how these provisions should be construed (interpretation) and how issues not addressed in the contract should be governed (supplementation).Statutory provisions regarding incorporation, interpretation and supplementation exist, albeit to a limited extent. 5. Children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis : health-related quality of life and participation in healthcare encounters
Sammanfattning : Background: Growing up with Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) can be associated with functional limitations, feelings of being different, and an impaired health-related quality of life (HRQOL). Children’s and parents’ reports of child HRQOL may differ. LÄS MER
