1. The Impact of Hydrocarbon and Carbon Oxide Impuritiesin the Hydrogen Feed of a PEM Fuel Cell
Sammanfattning : The proton exchange membrane fuel cell generates electricity from hydrogen and oxygen (from air) through electrocatalytic reactions in an electrochemical cell. The Pt/C catalyst, commonly used in PEM fuel cells, is very sensitive to impurities that can interact with the active catalyst sites and limit fuel cell performance. LÄS MER
2. Aluminium oxide - poly(ethylene-co-butylacrylate) nanocomposites : synthesis, structure, transport properties and long-term performance
Sammanfattning : Polymer nanocomposites are promising materials for dielectrical use in high voltage applications and insulations. This work presents a study of nanocomposites based on poly(ethylene-co-butyl acrylate) with two different comonomer compositions and two different aluminium oxide nanoparticles. LÄS MER
3. Advances in SiC growth using chloride-based CVD
Sammanfattning : Silicon Carbide (SiC) is a wide band-gap semiconductor. Similar to silicon it can be used to make electronic devices which can be employed in several applications. SiC has some unique features, such as wide band-gap, high hardness, chemical inertness, and capability to withstand high temperatures. LÄS MER
4. Poly(ethylene-graft-ethylene oxide) Preparation and Properties in Polymer Blends
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes the preparation, characterisation and properties of poly(ethylene-graft-ethylene oxide) (PE-PEO). The grafting reaction was carried out with the grafting onto method using the carboxylic acid groups of poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid) (PEAA) as reactive sites in an esterification reaction with poly(ethylene oxide) mono-methyl ethers (MPEO) of varying molecular weights: 750, 2000 and 5000. 5. Side-Channel Analysis of Post-Quantum Cryptographic Algorithms
Sammanfattning : Public key cryptographic schemes used today rely on the intractability of certain mathematical problems that are known to be efficiently solvable with a large-scale quantum computer. To address the need for long-term security, in 2016 NIST started a project for standardizing post-quantum cryptography (PQC) primitives that rely on problems not known to be targets for a quantum computer, such as lattice problems.
