  1. 21. Analysis and improvement of risk assessment methodology for offshore energy installations : Aspects of environmental impact assessment and as-built subsea cable verification

    Författare :Andreas Olsson; Blekinge Tekniska Högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; DST; Decision Support Tools; subsea cables; statistical method; environmental risk; risk of accidents; Systemteknik; Systems Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In the expansion of offshore sustainable energy systems, there is growing pressure on the environment and permit processes and the accumulation results in much higher total risk for accidents of future assets. Anticipating the problems at the design stage and improving verification is likely to increase energy development and reduce costs. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Improving the Quality and Safety of Drug Use in Hospitalized Elderly : Assessing the Effects of Clinical Pharmacist Interventions and Identifying Patients at Risk of Drug-related Morbidity and Mortality

    Författare :Anna Alassaad; Håkan Melhus; Margareta Hammarlund-Udenaes; Johan Sundström; Claes Mörlin; Lene Juel Kjeldsen; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Adverse drug events; inappropriate prescribing; medication errors; polypharmacy; medication reconciliation; medication review; patient drug counseling; multi-dose dispensed drugs; risk-estimation; multiprofessional collaboration; prediction model; quality measure; rehospitalization;

    Sammanfattning : Older people admitted to hospital are at high risk of rehospitalization and medication errors. We have demonstrated, in a randomized controlled trial, that a clinical pharmacist intervention reduces the incidence of revisits to hospital for patients aged 80 years or older admitted to an acute internal medicine ward. 3. 23. Obesity in obstetric care : Consequences and risk prediction

    Författare :Heiðrún Pétursdóttir Maack; Inger Sundström Poromaa; Þóra Steingrímsdóttir; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Obstetrik och gynekologi; Obstetrics and Gynaecology;

    Sammanfattning : The incidence of obesity is increasing at an alarming rate worldwide and the epidemic has reached the pregnant population of developed countries. Obesity is associated with several obstetric complications for both the mother, the fetus and the new-born. Today, obesity risk assessment is based on body mass index (BMI). LÄS MER

  4. 24. Estimation of crack risk in early age concrete : simplified methods for practical use

    Författare :Mårten Larson; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Structural Engineering; Konstruktionsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : For many situations it is obvious that an understanding of how different types of cracks arise and methods to estimate the risk of early age cracking is needed. This thesis deals with parts of this phenomenon namely thermal through cracking caused by restraint from an adjoining structure. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Feasible computation of generalized linear mixed models with application to credit risk modelling

    Författare :Md. Moudud Alam; Göran Boström; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Credit risk; cluster correlation; GLMM; large data; two-step pseudo likelihood estimation; defaults contagion; predictive likelihood; SOCIAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; Statistics; Statistik; Statistics; Statistik; Complex Systems – Microdata Analysis;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with developing and testing feasible computational procedures to facilitate the estimation of and carry out the prediction with the generalized linear mixed model (GLMM) with a scope of applying them to large data sets. The work of this thesis is motivated from an issue arising incredit risk modelling. LÄS MER
