    Sammanfattning : The gastrointestinal tract (GIT) regulates nutrient uptake, secretes hormones and has a crucial gut flora and enteric nervous system. Of relevance for these functions are the G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and the solute carriers (SLCs). LÄS MER

  2. 2. On diet in ankylosing spondylitis

    Detta är en avhandling från Umeå : Umeå universitet

    Författare :Björn Sundström; Umeå universitet.; [2011]
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; diet; ankylosing spondylitits; omega-3; cardiovascular; reumatologi; rheumatology;

  3. 3. Novel lipid derivatives for health benefits : synthesis, analysis and effects in diet-induced obese mice

    Detta är en avhandling från ; Department of Food Science, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences

    Författare :Samanthi Madawala; Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet.; [2013]

    Sammanfattning : Obesity is a public health concern and requires effective management with multiple approaches. Dietary supplements of bioactive compounds that can improve fatty acid oxidation and thermogenesis are currently in focus to develop anti-obese food ingredients/nutraceuticals without side-effects. 4. 4. Determinants and clinical implications of circulating fatty acids in individuals with chronic kidney disease

    Detta är en avhandling från Stockholm : Karolinska Institutet, Dept of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology

    Författare :Xiaoyan Huang; Karolinska Institutet.; Karolinska Institutet.; [2013]

    Sammanfattning : Patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) have a high risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. Adding to traditional risk factors, e.g., Framingham risk factors, novel risk factors including inflammation, insulin resistance (IR) and metabolic syndrome (MetS) are being detected in patients with advanced CKD.
