21. Frequency Noise in Coherent Optical Systems: Impact and Mitigation Methods
Sammanfattning : The increase in capacity demand along with the advancement in digital signal processing (DSP) have recently revived the interest in coherent optical communications and led to its commercialization. However, design and development of robust DSP algorithms for example for carrier phase recovery (CPR) becomes complex as we opt for high order modulation formats such as 16QAM and beyond. LÄS MER
22. Phase Noise Tolerant Modulation Formats and DSP Algorithms for Coherent Optical Systems
Sammanfattning : Coherent detection together with multilevel modulation formats has the potential to significantly increase the capacity of existing optical communication systems at no extra cost in signal bandwidth. However, these modulation formats are more susceptible to the impact of different noise sources and distortions as the distance between its constellation points in the complex plane reduces with the modulation index. 23. Controlling the Influent Load to Wastewater Treatment Plants
Sammanfattning : The need for control of the influent load to a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is becoming more important. One reason for this is that there are a number of things that cannot be achieved with plant-focused control. LÄS MER
24. Underskott i aktiebolag : En skatterättslig studie av förlust- och resultatutjämning i ljuset av svensk rätt och EU-rätten
Sammanfattning : Underskott i aktiebolag. Losses of Limited Liability Companies. The general subject of this thesis is the tax treatment of losses incurred in limited liability companies (aktiebolag) in light of Swedish law and European law. LÄS MER
25. Understanding didactic strategies based on the Laban-Malmgren technique when developing the technical and musical proficiency of singers
Sammanfattning : In this thesis multiple methods were used to explore how the use of didactic strategies based on the LMT may enable a voice pedagogue to develop the technical and musical proficiency of singers who specialise in Western art music. Data for this qualitative study were collected by working with fourteen singers in South Africa and Sweden during workshops, masterclasses and individual lessons. LÄS MER
