  1. 21. Sociotechnical system studies of the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from energy and transport systems

    Författare :Linda Olsson; Mats Söderström; Annelie Carlson; Magdalena Fallde; Elisabeth Wetterlund; Kes McCormick; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy systems; transport systems; greenhouse gas emissions; energy policy; transport policy; sociotechnical systems analysis; wicked problem; Energisystem; transportsystem; växthusgasutsläpp; energipolicy; transportpolicy; socioteknisk systemanalys; wicked problem;

    Sammanfattning : It is agreed that greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from energy and transport systems must be reduced. Technical means exist to reduce GHG emissions from these sources. However, these emission-reduction measures are not implemented to a high enough degree. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Uncharted Waters : Non-target analysis of disinfection by-products in drinking water

    Författare :Anna Andersson; David Bastviken; Henrik Kylin; David Reckhow; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Water treatment technologies; chemical disinfection; FT-ICR MS; bioassays; Vattenreningstekniker; klor; kloramin; FT-ICR MS; effektbaserad analys;

    Sammanfattning : Disinfection by-products (DBPs) are potentially toxic compounds formed when drinking water is treated with disinfectants, such as chlorine or chloramine. A large proportion of the exposure to DBPs is still unknown and the health risks observed through epidemiological studies cannot be explained by DBPs known today. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Predictions Within and Across Aquatic Systems using Statistical Methods and Models

    Författare :Peter H. Dimberg; Roger Herbert; Andreas C. Bryhn; Gesa Weyhenmeyer; Mikael Malmaeus; Uppsala universitet; []

    Sammanfattning : Aquatic ecosystems are an essential source for life and, in many regions, are exploited to a degree which deteriorates their ecological status. Today, more than 50 % of the European lakes suffer from an ecological status which is unsatisfactory. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Marketing for Life Cycle Thinking

    Författare :Emma Rex; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Green marketing; LCA practice; Organisational theory; Interpretive research; Industry practices; Life cycle thinking LCT ; Sensemaking; Life cycle management LCM ; Functionalist research; Environmental management;

    Sammanfattning : The concept of “life cycle thinking” creates possibilities for major improve¬ments in environ¬mental performance, but compels companies to look beyond their own immediate sites and operations to consider the broader picture of their products’ or services’ environmental impact. This thesis seeks to explore company attempts to implement such life cycle thinking (LCT), and how this connects with their self-inte¬rest in terms of market success. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Capturing the life cycle environmental performance of a company’s manufacturing system

    Författare :Birger Löfgren; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; actor; DES; LCA; Manufacturing decision making;

    Sammanfattning : This research has developed methods for manufacturing decision makers to measure manufacturing environmental performance and to predict the environmental consequences of alternative manufacturing system configurations. The ideas behind the methods are based on life-cycle thinking from the perspective of an industrial actor, and its decision makers, in the value chain of a product. LÄS MER
