16. Analysis of entry phase in intermittent machining
Sammanfattning : Cutting forces and vibrations are essential parameters in the assessment of a cutting process. As the energy consumption in the machining process is directly affected by the magnitude of the cutting forces it is of vital importance to design cutting edges and select process conditions that will maintain high tool performance through reduced energy consumption. 17. Possibilities of CO2 emission reduction : process integration analysis and carbon trading schemes
Sammanfattning : Climate change is one of the greatest challenges faced by today's society. With more evidence from scientists, the need to manage greenhouse gas emissions has been increasing in response to international climate change negotiations. LÄS MER
18. Regulation of CDK dephosphorylation in mitotic entry
Sammanfattning : Cell cycle progression is orchestrated by the activity of a Cyclin dependent kinase (Cdk) in complex with a Cyclin. The key regulator of early mitotic events is the Cyclin B1/Cdk1 complex. In G2, Cyclin B1/Cdk1 is kept inactive by phosphorylation in the active site of Cdk1. LÄS MER
19. Inclusion Behaviour under a Swirl Flow in a Continuous Casting Process
Sammanfattning : A swirl flow generated in a submerged entry nozzle (SEN) can effectively improve a flow pattern and heat transfer in a continuous casting process by using the methods of “swirl blade type” and “electromagnetic type”. In order to obtain a further in-depth understanding with respect to the effect of a swirl flow on a continuous casting process, the inclusion behaviour in a SEN and a mold was studied in the present work. 20. Edge Geometry Effects on Entry Phase by Forces and Vibrations
Sammanfattning : Intermittent machining is in general strongly related to the large impacts in the entry phase and related vibrations. The influence of the impact forces and vibrations on the cutting process is dependent on workpiece material, structural properties of the tool-workpiece system, cutting edge geometries and cutting parameters.
