  1. 1. Improved energy efficiency in industrial small and medium-sized enterprises : Regional energy efficiency network policy programs

    Författare :Ida Johansson; Patrik Thollander; Nawzad Mardan; Inger-Lise Svensson; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Regional energy efficiency policy; Energy efficiency networks; Industrial SMEs; Barriers; Drivers; Energy management; Regional energipolicy; energieffektiviseringsnätverk; industriella SMF; hinder; drivkrafter; energiledning; inget Strategiskt forskningsområde SFO ; no Strategic Research Area SFO ;

    Sammanfattning : Despite large potential for improved energy efficiency in industrial small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the full potential is not realized due to barriers to energy efficiency. Two primary ways to realize the potential are to deploy energy management practices and conduct energy audits. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Low-energy buildings : energy use, indoor climate and market diffusion

    Författare :Johannes Persson; Stefan Grönkvist; Svend Svendsen; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building energy simulations; energy efficiency gap; energy use; indoor climate; low-energy buildings;

    Sammanfattning : Low-energy buildings have, in recent years, gained attention and moved towards a large-scale introduction in the residential sector. During this process, national and international criteria for energy use in buildings have become stricter and the European Union has through the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive imposed on member states to adapt their building regulations for ‘Nearly Zero Energy Buildings’, which by 2021 should be standard for new buildings. Sammanfattning : The process industry is responsible for a significant share of the final industrial energy use in Sweden. In particular, the pulp and paper industry accounts for more than 50 %. In this context, a number of studies have shown that there is a substantial potential for energy savings in the pulp and paper industry. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Applicability of thermal energy storage in future district heating system - Design methodologies and performance evaluations

    Författare :Yichi Zhang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; low-temperature district heating; demand-side management; low energy buildings; Thermal energy storage; district heating; variable renewable energy;

    Sammanfattning : District heating (DH) enables efficient and economical utilization of energy resources to satisfy the heat and hot water demands in buildings and is, thereby, well-established in Northern European countries. To achieve the future renewable energy system, the current DH systems are proved to undergo transitions towards the future DH systems, with major characteristics including renewable-based heat sources, low temperature networks, lower heating demands and smart controls.
