  1. 11. Circular design through co-creation: Exploring perspectives and future directions for design in a circular economy

    Författare :Giliam Dokter; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :HUMANIORA; HUMANITIES; Circular Economy; Co-creation; Design practice; Prototyping; Design for Sustainability; Circular Design;

    Sammanfattning : In the efforts to stimulate sustainable development, the circular economy aims to establish ‘closed-loop’ flows of resources in a way that enables businesses and society to reap benefits from maintaining products, components and materials at their highest utility and value, while simultaneously reducing the generation of waste. Designing for a circular economy will require designers to, more than ever, anticipate how artifacts function and change over time and conceptualise the entire lifecycle (including the design, production, use and end-of-life phase) in a coherent and holistic way. 2. 12. Individual Producer Responsibility in the WEEE Directive - From Theory to Practice?

    Författare :Chris van Rossem; Internationella miljöinstitutet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Individual Producer Responsibility IPR ; Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment WEEE ; Extended Producer Responsibility EPR ;

    Sammanfattning : In the current discourse over what constitutes successful Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policy implementation, there is an on-going debate over the ability of programme design to include an appropriate incentive mechanism to stimulate producers to improve the design of their products for reduced life cycle impacts, and especially the impacts and costs from the end-of-life management. At the centre of the debate is the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) which has the explicit goal to encourage the design and production of electrical and electronic products which facilitate dismantling, recovery and in particular the reuse and recycling of WEEE. 3. 13. Extended Producer Responsibility as a Driver for Design Change - Utopia or Reality?

    Författare :Naoko Tojo; Internationella miljöinstitutet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Extended producer responsibility; EEE; policy evaluation; intervention theory; effectiveness; implementation; individual responsibility; complex products; cars; anticipation of mandatory instruments; batteries; design change; Commercial and industrial economics; Industriell ekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : Policies based upon Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) aim to reduce the environmental impacts of products across their entire life cycle. The intent is to induce design changes in products and thus reduce impacts at source. This, by provision of incentives to producers through an extension of responsibility. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Care and services at home for persons with dementia. Structure, process, and outcomes

    Författare :Christina Bökberg; Äldres hälsa och personcentrerad vård; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Dementia; Quality of life; Quality of care; Home care; Nursing; Person-centred care; Chain of care; Lawton s press competence model;

    Sammanfattning : The overall aim of this thesis was to investigate formal care and services at home, regarding structure, process, and outcomes, for persons with dementia (aged 65+ years) at risk of nursing home admission. Availability and utilization of formal care and services at home for persons with dementia, from diagnosis to end-of-life stage, in eight European countries was described in study I. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Implementation of knowledge-based palliative care in acute care settings : obstacles, opportunities and experiences

    Författare :Susanne Lind; Lars Wallin; Jonas Sandberg; Carl Johan Fürst; Tomas Brytting; Anna Milberg; Karolinska institutet; Karolinska Institutet; Karolinska Institutet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Acute care hospital;

    Sammanfattning : Background and aim: Quality improvement is continuously ongoing at different levels in our healthcare system. In Sweden, as in other countries, guidelines are important for quality improvement in healthcare, since they summarize the best available evidence. LÄS MER
