  1. 1. Helping robots help us : Using prior information for localization, navigation, and human-robot interaction

    Författare :Malcolm Mielle; Martin Magnusson; Achim Lilienthal; Erik Schaffernicht; Marjorie Skubic; Örebro universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; graph-based SLAM; prior map; sketch map; emergency map; map matching; graph matching; segmentation; search and rescue;

    Sammanfattning : Maps are often used to provide information and guide people. Emergency maps or floor plans are often displayed on walls and sketch maps can easily be drawn to give directions. However, robots typically assume that no knowledge of the environment is available before exploration even though making use of prior maps could enhance robotic mapping. LÄS MER

The equipment is furthermore tested and approved in limited weather conditions which make it more or less impossible to launch the equipment, if the weather conditions are too bad. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Data mining of geospatial data: combining visual and automatic methods

    Författare :Urška Demšar; Hans Hauska; Peter A. Burrough; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; geographic information science; geoinformatics; geovisualisation; spatial data mining; visual data mining; usability evaluation; Other information technology; Övrig informationsteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Most of the largest databases currently available have a strong geospatial component and contain potentially useful information which might be of value. The discipline concerned with extracting this information and knowledge is data mining. Knowledge discovery is performed by applying automatic algorithms which recognise patterns in the data.
