11. Electronic Transport in Materials
Sammanfattning : Transport properties within the Boltzmann transport equation for metallic multi-layer structures as well as bulk materials, were the prime topic of this work. Ab initio total energy calculations for Hydrogen loaded metallic multi-layers were performed in order to shed some light onto problem of H depleted layers at the interfaces that have been experimentally observed. 12. Photoemission from Alkali Metal Overlayers: Quantum Wells, Photoelectron Interference and Atomic Structure Changes
Sammanfattning : Angle resolved photoelectron spectroscopy is used to investigate alkali metal overlayers on noble metal surfaces. The work deals with interference in photoemission, bulk electronic structure and adsorption induced changes of atomic structure, respectively. The relative importance of surface and bulk in photoemission has remained largely unexplored. LÄS MER
13. In pursuit of next generation photovoltaics : An electronic structure study of emerging solar cell materials
Sammanfattning : The development of a new generation of photovoltaic technologies is an important task in order to increase the production of clean energy. Perovskite solar cells, with an exceptionally rapid development over the last decade, have transformed into perhaps the most promising candidate to provide a low-cost alternative to conventional cells. 14. Regressor and Structure Selection : Uses of ANOVA in System Identification
Sammanfattning : Identification of nonlinear dynamical models of a black box nature involves both structure decisions (i.e., which regressors to use and the selection of a regressor function), and the estimation of the parameters involved. LÄS MER
15. Electronic structure of clean and adsorbate-covered InAs surfaces
Sammanfattning : This thesis is the result of investigations regarding the processes in InAs III-V semiconductor surfaces induced by additional charge incorporated by adsorbates. The aim of the project is to study the development of the accumulation layer on the metal/InAs(111)A/B surfaces and its electronic structure. LÄS MER
