Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the public music-making by locals in Holmsund 1850—1980, and to explain the great variety of musical forms in hope to thereby illuminate the importance of local music-making for the workers' musical taste, but also how workers' musical aesthetics were affected by a more general working-class culture. Sammanfattning : Ten years after his death, Iannis Xenakis (1922–2001) is generally acknowledged as one of the most influential composers of the recently past century, working in all genres of modern music – from acoustic to electronic, from strings to percussion, from solo pieces to orchestral works. He is also renowned for his spectacular audiovisual installations – from the Philips Pavilion at the 1958 World Exposition in Brussels, to the Diatope de Beaubourg conceived for the inauguration of the Centre Pompidou in 1978 – as well as for his architectural projects, both on a cosmic and a more quotidian scale. 15. Adaptive Robot Presenters : Modelling Grounding in Multimodal Interaction
Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses the topic of grounding in human-robot interaction, that is, the process by which the human and robot can ensure mutual understanding. To explore this topic, the scenario of a robot holding a presentation to a human audience is used, where the robot has to process multimodal feedback from the human in order to adapt the presentation to the human's level of understanding.
