    Författare :Joakim Wigström; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; amperometry; QCM-D; micro electrode array; large dense core vesicles; chromaffin cells; PC-12 cells; microelectrode; exocytosis; electrochemical cytometry; electrochemical imaging; acetylcholine; endocytosis; nanoparticles; enzyme biosensor; microfabrication;

    Sammanfattning : The work described in this thesis has the focus on the development of new analytical tools to study processes related to cellular secretion (exocytosis) in cell models. Four novel techniques were developed, allowing new ways to study processes related to exocytosis, and gain previously unattainable knowledge. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Microstructure in SOFC: electrochemical simulations and experiments

    Författare :Xiaoqiang Zhang; Värmeöverföring; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Solid oxide fuel cell; Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy; 3D reconstruction; Tortuosity; Electrochemical kinetics; Multiphysics; Thermal stress;

    Sammanfattning : Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are highly efficient and environmentally friendly power sources that convert chemical energy directly into electricity and heat, without the need for combustion. Despite their many benefits, the performance and durability of SOFCs heavily depend on the quality of their porous anode and cathode components. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Using Light to Probe Surface Electrochemical Processes

    Författare :Weronica Linpe; NanoLund: Centre for Nanoscience; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Electrochemistry; X-ray methods; In situ; synchrotron radiation; Ex situ; Single crystal; polycrystalline; aluminium oxide; Au; Pd; Pt; Sn; Super duplex stainless steel.; Fysicumarkivet A:2021:Linpé;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis shows how various light-based in situ techniques can be used to follow different surface electrochemical processes such as electrochemical deposition into Nanoporous Anodic Aluminium Oxide (NP-AAO) templates and the surface structure of electrodes. Techniques based on both x-rays and visible light were used to follow surface structures and compositions, in situ. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Air pollution is a major concern in developed countries due to its hazardous health effects. Recent studies by the WHO (World Health Organization) estimate that urban air pollution causes a number of diseases of the respiratory tract and is associated with 150,000 deaths each year. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Electrochemical Aspects of Miniaturized Analytical Platforms

    Författare :Oliver Klett; Frank-Michael Matysik; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Analytical chemistry; electrochemical detection; microanalytical systems; on-chip CE; ESI; Analytisk kemi; Analytical chemistry; Analytisk kemi; Analytical Chemistry; Analytisk kemi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis ties some electrochemical aspects of development and fabrication of an analytical system on a microchip together. These aspects develop through the fundamentals of amperometric detection in microsystems and microfabrication via the interaction of electrochemical detection and electrophoretic separation finally to the interfacing of a microsystem to the macro world.
