21. Solving Analytical Challenges with Thin Layer Electrochemistry
Sammanfattning : The decentralization of chemical sensing to attain environmental-related information is today highly desirable to increase the knowledge on biological or geological events as well as effluents. The current state of the field moves toward submersible probes; chemical sensors implemented into submersible devices for quantifying analytes over extended times. LÄS MER
22. Electrochemical reduction of protons and organic molecules in hydrogen technologies : Liquid Organic Hydrogen carrier and Hydrogen Evolution
Sammanfattning : In accordance with preventable actions to mitigate the effect of climate change in the modern societal applications, renewable energy is an unavoidable and decisive factor in the energy industry. The energy sources that offer non-depleted and environment-friendly pathways for the energy sector are in focus. LÄS MER
23. Combining Electrochemistry and Photoelectron Spectroscopy for the Study of Li-ion Batteries
Sammanfattning : In this thesis photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) is combined with electrochemistry to investigate the electrochemical processes that occur at the electrode/electrolyte interfaces in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). LIB systems are studied by the use of both ex situ PES, where electrodes are electrochemically pre-cycled and subsequently measured by PES, and operando PES, where electrodes are cycled during PES measurements. 24. Electrochemical and microscopic analysis of chemical signalling in biological systems
Sammanfattning : Cellular communication is a prerequisite in multicellular organisms in order to survive. Many times, this communication occurs through the highly controlled and regulated release of chemical signals through a process known as exocytosis. LÄS MER
25. Wafer-level heterogeneous integration of MEMS actuators
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents methods for the wafer-level integration of shape memory alloy (SMA) and electrostatic actuators to functionalize MEMS devices. The integration methods are based on heterogeneous integration, which is the integration of different materials and technologies. LÄS MER
