  1. 16. Low-Temperature Heating and Ventilation for Sustainability in Energy Efficient Buildings

    Författare :Arefeh Hesaraki; Sture Holmberg; Bahram Moshfegh; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Low-temperature heating system; Energy savings; Seasonal thermal energy storage; Variable air volume ventilation system; Indoor air quality;

    Sammanfattning : In 2013, the building sector consumed approximately 39 % of the total final energy use in Sweden. Energy used for heating and hot water was responsible for approximately 60 % of the total energy consumption in the building sector. Therefore, energy-efficient and renewable-based heating and ventilation systems have high potential for energy savings. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Over half of the world’s population live in urban areas, a trend which is expected to only grow as we move further into the future. With this increasing trend in urbanisation, challenges are presented in the form of the management of urban infrastructure systems. LÄS MER

  4. 19. Energy use and environmental impact from hotels on Adriatic Coast in Croatia : current status and future possibilities for HVAC systems

    Författare :Vlasta Zanki Alujevic; Per Lundqvist; Dagnia Blumberga; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; HVAC systems; hotels; energy performance; energy efficiency; environmental savings; energy audit; system approach; sustainable energy systems; Environmental engineering; Miljöteknik;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis analyses a specific type of energy usage system, “energy usage in hotels”, and how this system behaves. In order to evaluate the current state of energy use in hotels, an energy audit questionnaire was developed and conducted among 31,5% of hotels on the Adriatic coast. LÄS MER

  5. 20. Combined solar and pellet heating systems for single-family houses : How to achieve decreased electricity usage, increased system efficiency and increased solar gains

    Författare :Tomas Persson; Per Lundqvist; Simon Furbo; Högskolan Dalarna; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Pellet; pelleteldning; kamin; panna; solvärmesystem; varmvattenberedning; systemutformning; småhus; elbesparing; verkningsgrad; emissioner; rökgasförluster; skorstensförlust; diskmaskin; tvättmaskin; Thermal energy engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In Sweden, there are about 0.5 million single-family houses that are heated by electricity alone, and rising electricity costs force the conversion to other heating sources such as heat pumps and wood pellet heating systems. Pellet heating systems for single-family houses are currently a strongly growing market. LÄS MER
