  1. 1. Fuel-efficient driving strategies

    Författare :Sina Torabi; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; speed profile optimization; fuel efficiency; neural networks.; energy efficiency; genetic algorithms; performance analysis; road grade estimation; mass estimation; vehicle platooning;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is concerned with fuel-efficient driving strategies for vehicles driving on roads with varying topography, as well as estimation of road grade and vehicle mass for vehicles utilizing such strategies. A framework referred to as speed profile optimization (SPO), is introduced for reducing the fuel or energy consumption of single vehicles (equipped with either combustion or electric engines) and platoons of several vehicles. 2. 2. Estimation Using Low Rank Signal Models

    Författare :Kaushik Mahata; Torsten Söderström; Mats Viberg; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; parameter estimation; separable least squares; statistical analysis; viscoelasticity; subspace algorithms; spectrum estimation; Signal processing; Signalbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : Designing estimators based on low rank signal models is a common practice in signal processing. Some of these estimators are designed to use a single low rank snapshot vector, while others employ multiple snapshots. This dissertation deals with both these cases in different contexts. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses a number of problems all related to parameter estimation in sensor array processing. The unifying theme is that some of these parameters are known before the measurements are acquired. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Contributions to Signal Processing for MRI

    Författare :Marcus Björk; Peter Stoica; Andreas Jakobsson; Uppsala universitet; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Parameter estimation; efficient estimation algorithms; non-convex optimization; multicomponent T2 relaxometry; artifact reduction; T2 mapping; denoising; phase estimation; RF design; MR thermometry; in-vivo brain; Elektroteknik med inriktning mot signalbehandling; Electrical Engineering with specialization in Signal Processing;

    Sammanfattning : Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is an important diagnostic tool for imaging soft tissue without the use of ionizing radiation. Moreover, through advanced signal processing, MRI can provide more than just anatomical information, such as estimates of tissue-specific physical properties. LÄS MER
