   Sammanfattning : Myelodysplastic syndromes with ring sideroblast (MDS-RS) is a clonal hematological malignancy characterized by accumulation of iron filled erythroblasts called ring sideroblasts in the bone marrow, and recurrent somatic mutations in the splicing factor gene SF3B1. The disease mainly affects elderly individuals, causing severe anemia in patients for which no curative treatment exists. LÄS MER

   Sammanfattning : Industrial and domestic sewage effluents have been found to cause reproductive disorders in wild fish, often as a result of the interference of compounds in the effluents with the endocrine system. Based on a thorough discussion of Europe’s colonial past and the hierarchies of knowledge that colonialism established, this dissertation interrogates the definitions of intercultural knowledge put forth by EU policy discourse, academic textbooks on interculturality, and students who have completed a university course on the subject.    Sammanfattning : This thesis is a summary of five papers with focus on adsorption processes of various monocarboxylates and aminocarboxylates at the water/goethite interface. Interaction of organic acids at the water/mineral interfaces are of importance in biogeochemical processes, since such processes have potential to alter mobility and bioavailability of the acids and metal ions.
