6. Den stora ölkartellen : Branschorganisering och kartellbildning i bryggeriindustrin 1885-1914
Sammanfattning : This dissertation deals with the different functions of the Swedish Brewers Association: political defence against reductions in the free trade in beer and taxation of the brewing industry, defence against strikes and boycotts, and the making of a nation-wide cartel. The breakthroug of temperance ideology, the fiscal needs of the state and the growth of the socialist labour movement threatened the property interests of the brewing industry. LÄS MER

Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to give a perspective on the development of the Swedish automobility between 1950 and 2007. New knowledge on automobility’s role for economic historical development will be achieved by studying the interaction between the diffusion of the private car on the national and the regional level, and the households’ preferences and the government’s regulations of car ownership. 9. Conflicting Contexts : The Implementation of European Works Councils in Sweden
Sammanfattning : The European directive on the establishment of European Works Councils (EWCs) provides an example of how the implementation of EU-level regulation is shaped by national legislation and practice, and previous research on EWC implementation has stressed the role of national factors for the organisation and work of these information and consultation forums. This thesis addresses the EWCs from a Swedish perspective and aims to analyse the role of the national system of employee participation for the implementation of EWCs in the national context. LÄS MER
