  1. 1. Improving Software Quality through Understanding and Early Estimations

    Författare :Anders Wesslén; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Personal Software Process; process improvement; software development process; defects; faults; failures; test planning; early estimations; usage profile; usage model; statistical usage testing; Software quality; software reliability; Systems engineering; computer technology; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Software quality is an important factor of a large and complex software system. Hence, there is a need for measuring and controlling quality. Software quality has, however, many different f actors and involves implicit expectations of the behaviour of the software. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Models for Estimation of Software Faults and Failures in Inspection and Test

    Författare :Per Runeson; Institutioner vid LTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; failures; usage based testing; usage model; statistical testing; faults; capture-recapture; inspections; software quality; software reliability; experiments; Computer science; numerical analysis; systems; control; Datalogi; numerisk analys; system; kontroll;

    Sammanfattning : In software engineering, the quality of software and in particular the software reliability has to be controlled and improved. Hence there is a need for measuring and controlling the number and appearance of software faults and failures. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Characteristics of screen-failures in prostate cancer screening

    Författare :Anna Grenabo Bergdahl; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; screening; prostate cancer; screening failures; antigen; age; interval cancer; multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging; non-attendees; prostate cancer screening;

    Sammanfattning : ABSTRACT Although prostate-specific antigen (PSA)-based screening has been shown to reduce prostate cancer (PC)-specific mortality with large variations in mortality reduction with different screening algorithms, the optimal screening strategy has not yet been established. This thesis aims at exploring aspects of underdiagnosis in PC screening, focusing on the impact of screening failures on screening effectiveness. LÄS MER

  4. 4. On bone quality and implant stability measurements

    Författare :Bertil Friberg; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; early failures; titanium implants; jaw bone quality; jaw bone volume; cutting torque; implant stability; resonance frequency; one-stage surgery;

    Sammanfattning : In conjuction with placement of oral implants, the jaw bone quality assessment is mainly based on quantitative radiographic measures and the subjective opinion of the performing surgeon. While the primary implant stability is discussed in terms of the pre-set motor torque and the subjective hand-felt perception during final tightening of implants, the secondary stability is defined as the absence of implant mobility. 5. 5. Microbial risk assessment and its implications for risk management in urban water systems

    Författare :Therese Westrell; Thor-Axel Stenström; Nick Ashbolt; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Quantitative microbial risk assessment; pathogens; urban; decentralised; failures; noroviruses; water consumption; HACCP; drinking water; wastewater; sludge; faeces; risk management; Water in nature and society; Vatten i natur och samhälle;

    Sammanfattning : Infectious disease can be transmitted via various environmental pathways, many of which are incorporated into our water and wastewater systems. Quantitative microbial risk assessment (QMRA) can be a valuable tool in identifying hazard exposure pathways and estimating their associated health impacts. LÄS MER
