16. Direct Nanoprototyping of Functional Materials via Focused Electron Beam
Sammanfattning : During recent years the demand for nanoscale materials with tailor-made functional properties as bulk species, is continuously and progressively rising for such fields as e.g. micro- and nano-electronics, plasmonics, spintronics, bio-technology, bio-sensing and life sciences. 17. Verification of Dose Calculation Algorithms in Treatment Planning Systems for External Radiation Therapy: A Monte Carlo Approach
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a new verification concept, the virtual accelerator, for dose calculation algorithms used in treatment planning systems (TPSs) for external beam radiotherapy. The algorithm input data required to implement a treatment unit in the TPS are generated by Monte Carlo simulations as are the beam reference data needed for the subsequent evaluation of the dose calculation algorithm. 18. Fabrication and Applications of a Focused Ion Beam Based Nanocontact Platform for Electrical Characterization of Molecules and Particles
Sammanfattning : The development of new materials with novel properties plays an important role in improving our lives and welfare. Research in Nanotechnology can provide e.g. cheaper and smarter materials in applications such as energy storage and sensors. LÄS MER
19. Cost and benefits of cone beam computed tomography : for maxillary canines with eruption disturbance
20. Advances in Soft Matter Nanofabrication
Sammanfattning : The focus of this thesis is placed on the fabrication of engineered nanodevices for the manipulation of soft matter thin films. By combining top-down micro- and nanofabrication approaches with bottom-up self-assembly strategies, new research platforms were developed, tested and characterized. LÄS MER
