1. Möjligheter till lärande i matematik : Lärares problemformuleringar och dynamisk programvara
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents the first Swedish empirical evidence on how teachers employ a dynamic mathematical software when teaching mathematics in upper secondary school. The study examines: a) How teachers formulate mathematical problems? b) How they use the experience the students have gained? and c) What use they make of the software’s potential? These questions are examined through classroom observations followed up by discussions with the teachers. LÄS MER
2. Modeling Complex Engines as Dynamic Powertrain Members
Sammanfattning : Engine modeling and simulation have been necessary tools for efficient product development in the automotive industry for some time. The scope of this work is novel engine models, tools, and methods for powertrain research and development. LÄS MER
3. Uncertainties in Mobile Learning applications : Software Architecture Challenges
Sammanfattning : The presence of computer technologies in our daily life is growing by leaps and bounds. One of the recent trends is the use of mobile technologies and cloud services for supporting everyday tasks and the sharing of information between users. LÄS MER
4. Simulation of Dynamic Interaction between Train and Turnout
Sammanfattning : Dynamic train–track interaction is more complex in railway turnouts (switches & crossings) than on ordinary tangent or curved tracks. Multiple contacts between wheel and rail are common, and severe impact loads with broad frequency contents are induced when the nominal wheel–rail contact conditions are disturbed due to the continuous variation in rail profiles and the discontinuities in the crossing panel. 5. Dynamic Train-Turnout Interaction – Mathematical Modelling, Numerical Simulation and Field Testing
Sammanfattning : Two models for simulation of dynamic interaction between train and turnout are developed. The first one is derived using a commercial software for dynamics of multi-body systems. LÄS MER
