  1. 1. Floating-Point Analog-to-Digital Converter

    Författare :Johan Piper; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Electronics and Electrical technology; matching; binary weighting; dynamic range; resolution; distortion; pipeline; A D-converter; floating-point; Elektronik och elektroteknik;

    Sammanfattning : To deal with the wide dynamic rage necessary for a radio receiver or corresponding applications, but to avoid impractically high resolution at high data rates, the approach of using a floating-point analog-to-digital converter (FP-ADC) has been investigated. This approach de-links the dynamic range with the resolution, and a very wide dynamic range can be achieved by an ADC with a moderate resolution. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Systematic Design of Linear Feedback Amplifiers

    Författare :Martin Lantz; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Signal processing; Volterra series; dynamic distortion; clipping; nonlinear distortion; systematic design; feedback amplifier; Signalbehandling;

    Sammanfattning : This work adds a quantitative description of distortion to the structured design method of negative-feedback amplifiers. It constitutes a power-series representation of the feedback amplifier, which may include dynamic (memory) effects, where the design parameters appear explicitly. LÄS MER

  3. 3. The influence of music on hearing. A study in classical and rock/jazz musicians

    Författare :Kim R. Kähäri; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :MEDICIN OCH HÄLSOVETENSKAP; MEDICAL AND HEALTH SCIENCES; Hearing disorders; hearing loss; tinnitus; hyperacusis; distortion; diplacusis; hearing in musicians; hearing development; psychosocial exposure; stress in musicians;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis was to assess hearing and hearing disorders among classical and rock/jazz musicians. Pure tone audiometry was performed in 140 classical and 139 rock/jazz musicians. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Low Voltage CMOS Radio Receiver Front-End Design

    Författare :Fred Tillman; Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Elektroteknik; Electrical engineering; Elektronik; Electronics; Elektronik och elektroteknik; Electronics and Electrical technology; Polyphase Filter; Quadrature Signals; Nonlinearity; Distortion; Passive Mixer; Mixer; Low Noise Amplifier; CMOS; Front-End; Low Voltage; Radio; Receiver;

    Sammanfattning : The mass production of integrated circuits for digital electronics has made CMOS technology the most frequently used IC process today. Thanks to the large production volume, CMOS has increasingly become the most cost efficient technology of choice, and the fast development of small, high speed CMOS devices has made the technology feasible for many RF applications. 5. 5. Effect of high-temperature drying on spruce and larch Shape stability, mechanical properties and mould growth

    Författare :Eva Frühwald; Avdelningen för Konstruktionsteknik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; twist; shape stability; Norway spruce; mould susceptibility; larch; high-temperature drying; distortion; Technological sciences; Teknik; Material technology; Materiallära; Building construction; materialteknik; heat-treatment; Byggnadsteknik; KSTRWood;

    Sammanfattning : Shape stability, the ability of the wood to retain its shape, is one of the most important parameters when using timber as a building material and for other applications. Generally, timber undergoes changes in dimensions and shape when its moisture content is changed. LÄS MER
