1. A generic construction process modelling method
Sammanfattning : A variety of modelling methods has been used to modelconstruction processes and projects, either during normalproject planning or for process re-engineering efforts orresearch. One common method, which is widely used byconstruction industry practitioners, is scheduling. LÄS MER
2. Plastic Shrinkage Cracking In Concrete : Mitigation and Modelling
Sammanfattning : Early-age (up to 24 hours after casting) cracking may become problematic in any concrete structure. It can have a negative influence on the aesthetics of the concrete structure, as well as decreasing the durability and serviceability by facilitating the ingress of harmful materials into the concrete bulk. 3. Modelling impact climate-related change on the thermal responses of lakes
Sammanfattning : In response to climate-related changes, lakes worldwide have experienced warmer surface water temperatures, shorter ice cover periods and changes in lake stratification. As these aspects of lake dynamics exert substantial control over nutrient availability, oxygenation and biogeochemical cycling, predicting changes in lake water temperature and stratification dynamics can improve our understanding of the consequences of warming on lake ecosystems. 4. Testing and Modelling of Electrical Traction Machines : Performance Characterisation with Measurements from Transient Operation
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents methods to derive and model the performance characteristics of interior permanent magnet machines – a machine type which is commonly used for propulsion of electrical vehicles. The thesis divides the performance characteristics into three subcategories: The electromagnetic properties, the loss profile and the thermal behaviour of the machines. LÄS MER
5. Modelling the offset lithographic printing process
Sammanfattning : A concept for data management and adaptive modelling of the offset lithographic printing process is proposed. Artificial neural networks built from historical process data are used to model the offset printing process aiming to develop tools for online ink flow control. LÄS MER
