1. Investigation of hyperfine structure in Nb and Rh
Sammanfattning : .... LÄS MER
2. Precision molecular spectroscopy in the near- and mid-infrared using frequency comb-based Fourier transform spectrometers
Sammanfattning : Absorption spectroscopy is a powerful scientific tool for non-invasive and remote sensing applications ranging from atmospheric monitoring to astrophysics. In spectroscopic detection schemes it is necessary to have spectral models for any molecular species to be detected or quantified. LÄS MER
3. Theoretical studies of EPR parameters of spin-labels incomplex environments
Sammanfattning : This thesis encloses quantum chemical calculations performed in the framework of density functional response theory for evaluating electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spin Hamiltonian parameters of various spin-labels in different environments. These parameters are the well known electronic g-tensor and the nitrogen hyperfine coupling constants, which are extensively explored in this work for various systems. LÄS MER
4. Bonding and Diffusion of Molecules in Zeolites by ESR and ENDOR
Sammanfattning : This thesis studies bonding and diffusion of molecules in zeolites by Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Electron Nuclear Double Resonance (ENDOR). In the first part an introduction is given. In the second part (chapter 2) the detailed structure of a Cu2+ complex with water molecules in Cu-ZSM-5 zeolite was characterized with ENDOR at 4 K. 5. Resonant multi-photon ionisation studies of high-energy states in small molecules
Sammanfattning : This thesis describes separate studies of high-energy Rydberg and ion-pair states in small molecules using resonant multi-photon ionisation spectroscopy. * OODR/REMPI study of ungerade Rydberg states in O2 The energy region between 75000 and 99900 cm-1 of O2 has been studied using optical-optical double resonance (OODR) with resonance enhanced multi-photon ionisation (REMPI).
