2. Reliable and Efficient Distributed Machine Learning
Sammanfattning : With the ever-increasing penetration and proliferation of various smart Internet of Things (IoT) applications, machine learning (ML) is envisioned to be a key technique for big-data-driven modelling and analysis. Since massive data generated from these IoT devices are commonly collected and stored in a distributed manner, ML at the networks, e.g. LÄS MER
3. Model and Dependency Management in Mechatronic Design
Sammanfattning : Managing consistency is a major concern in the design of complex engineering systems. At times, inconsistencies may lead to wrong decisions, resulting in design flaws which can compromise safety and cause failures. One cannot forget the 1999 NASA unmanned MARS Climate Orbiter, which was destroyed due to use of inconsistent units by design teams. LÄS MER
4. U-Pb geochronology of tectonothermal events related to the Rodinia and Gondwana supercontinents -observations from Antarctica and Baltica
Sammanfattning : This thesis presents data from two areas, Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica, and the Scandinavian Caledonides, Baltica. In addition, a comparative geochronological study is presented. The bedrock of Dronning Maud Land (DML) is dominated by migmatitic gneisses and post-tectonic intrusions. LÄS MER
5. Mass Spectrometry-based Neuroproteomics : Deciphering the Human Brain Proteome
Sammanfattning : Mammalian brain is challenging to study due to its heterogeneity and complexity. However, recent advances in molecular imaging, genomics and proteomics have contributed significantly to achieve insights into molecular basis of brain function and pathogenesis of neurological disorders.
