  1. 1. District heating comes to town : The social shaping of an energy system

    Författare :Jane Summerton; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; district heating; municipal technology; energy system; pipeline; large t<:chnical system; actor network; multiorganization; grid; grid-based energy system; INTERDISCIPLINARY RESEARCH AREAS; TVÄRVETENSKAPLIGA FORSKNINGSOMRÅDEN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis deals with the introduction of district heating in an "ordinary" Swedish town: Mjölby. The process was initiated in 1974 and the decision to build was taken in 1979. In the following years pipelines were laid down and the system was gradually built. In 1987, a permanent heat plant was ready to assume operation. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Enhanced District Heating Technology : Maintaining Future System Feasibility

    Författare :Helge Averfalk; Sven Werner; Urban Persson; Mei Gong; Patrick Lauenburg; Kerstin Sernhed; Per-Olof Johansson Kallioniemi; Louise Ödlund; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY;

    Sammanfattning : When heat demand and high temperature heat supply gradually decreases in the future, then it will effect district heating systems ability to compete on the heat market. A good way to mitigate less district heating feasibility is to operate systems with lower temperature levels and the most conceivable way to achieve lower temperature levels is to decrease return temperatures. 3. 3. Small District Heating Systems

    Författare :Jochen Dahm; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; model calibration; small residential area; dynamic simulation; district heating;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this work is to identify, from an economical point of view, the optimal system design and operation strategy for the district heating of a small residential area. The applied methodology is an overall approach on the heat distribution system, the house connection and the space heating system in the building, i.e. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Low-temperature District Heating : Various Aspects of Fourth-generation Systems

    Författare :Helge Averfalk; Sven Werner; Brian Elmegaard; Högskolan i Halmstad; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; District heating; low temperature; three-pipe systems; 4GDH-3P; District heating; low temperature; three-pipe systems; 4GDH-3P;

    Sammanfattning : With decreasing heat demand and less availability of high-temperature heat supply in future energy systems, the current district heating systems may experience increased competition on the heat market. A viable option to mitigate increasing competition is to operate systems with lower temperature levels, and the most conceivable way to achieve lower temperature levels is to decrease return temperatures. 5. 5. Hydronic Heating Systems The Effect of Design on System Sensitivity

    Författare :Anders Trüschel; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; shunt group; controllability; district heating; room temperature; air heater; heating coil; thermal power output; deviations; water return temperature; valve group; hydronic heating; radiator system; P-band;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis starts from the recognition that a hydronic heating system can be optimised, but can never be totally perfect. Sooner or later, in practice, deviations - caused by one or more components having slightly different characteristics or settings than they are assumed or supposed to have - arise. LÄS MER
