  1. 6. Building Energy Efficiency Measures in District Heating Systems

    Författare :Tina Lidberg; Louise Ödlund; Thomas Olofsson; Erik Dahlquist; Högskolan i Gävle; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; building simulation; combined heat and power; district heating; domestic hot water; energy efficiency; greenhouse gas emission; low-temperature; multi-family building; primary energy; refurbishment; byggnadsimulering; energieffektivitet; flerfamiljshus; fjärrvärme; kraftvärme; lågtemperatur; primärenergi; renovering; tappvarmvatten; växthusgas; Hållbar stadsutveckling; Sustainable Urban Development; Reesbe företagsforskarskola;

    Sammanfattning : Improving energy performance of existing buildings is an important part in decreasing energy use and in turn reducing greenhouse gas emissions and primary energy use. To be able to evaluate how energy refurbishment influences greenhouse gas emissions and primary energy use a wider system perspective is needed which puts the building in its context. LÄS MER

  2. 7. The Business Model - Formation, description and definition

    Författare :Jon Williamsson; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; business model; market based instruments; cleantech; stakeholder inclusion; sensemaking; narratives; district heating; prgmatism; communicative theory of the firm;

    Sammanfattning : The business model is a new analytical concept in the field of strategy research that is frequently used when trying to explain the creation and capture of value by firms. This compilation thesis consists of three papers that examine different aspects of the formation of business models and one paper that examines the business model concept per se. LÄS MER

  3. 8. Applicability of thermal energy storage in future district heating system - Design methodologies and performance evaluations

    Författare :Yichi Zhang; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; low-temperature district heating; demand-side management; low energy buildings; Thermal energy storage; district heating; variable renewable energy;

    Sammanfattning : District heating (DH) enables efficient and economical utilization of energy resources to satisfy the heat and hot water demands in buildings and is, thereby, well-established in Northern European countries. To achieve the future renewable energy system, the current DH systems are proved to undergo transitions towards the future DH systems, with major characteristics including renewable-based heat sources, low temperature networks, lower heating demands and smart controls. 4. 9. Stochastic Modeling and Operational Optimization in District Heating Systems

    Författare :Lars Arvastson; Matematisk statistik; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; Statistik; actuarial mathematics; programming; operations research; Statistics; Matematik; optimization; Mathematics; simulation; prediction; District heating; grey-box modeling; operationsanalys; programmering; aktuariematematik; Systems engineering; computer technology; Data- och systemvetenskap;

    Sammanfattning : Operation of a district heating system is accomplished via a sequence of decisions by the operators controlling the system. These decisions are based on expectations of conditions in the system that are not known at decision time. LÄS MER

  5. 10. With district heating toward a sustainable future : System studies of district heating and cooling that interact with power, transport and industrial sectors

    Författare :Danica Djuric Ilic; Louise Trygg; Björn Karlsson; Erik Dalhquist; Linköpings universitet; []
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to identify measures which should be taken in DH systems (DHSs) in order to contribute to the development of the DHSs and other energy systems (especially transport, industrial and power sectors) toward sustainability.Four business strategies were analysed: delivering excess heat from biofuel production industry to DHSs, conversion of industrial processes to DH, integration of biofuel production in DHSs and integration of DHdriven absorption cooling technology in DHSs.
