  1. 1. Preparation and performance of energy storage materials and application for recovery of industrial waste heat

    Författare :Weilong Wang; Jinyue Yan; Fredrik Setterwall; Mälardalens högskola; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Phase change materials; Polyethylene glycol; Silicon dioxide; Form-stable; Thermal conductivity; Expanded graphite; Industrial heat; M-TES; ; Chemical energy engineering; Kemisk energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Due to the rapid increase of energy consumption and the environmental concerns on climate change caused by the fossil fuel combustion, it becomes a big issue on how to use alternative renewable energy resources to replace fossil fuel and to improve energy utilization efficiency. In Sweden, there are plenty of detached buildings without connection with district heating (DH) network, which use oil to supply the hot water for space heating and tap water. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Low-temperature based thermal micro-grids: operation and performance assessments

    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; low-temperature district heating; active thermal micro-grid; substation operation; performance assessment; distributed heat resources; chauffage urbain basse température; micro-réseaux de chaleur urbains actifs; fonctionnement de la sous-station; évaluation de la performance; sources de chaleur distribuées; lågtemperatur fjärrvärme; aktiv fjärrvärmemikronät; fjärrvärmecentral operation; prestationsbedömning; distribuerada värmekällor; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : Energy use in the urban environment is vital for the proper functioning of our society, and in particular, comfort heating –or cooling– is a central element of our energy system often taken for granted. Within this context, district energy systems and especially, district heating (DH) systems must evolve to adapt to the upcoming decades-long transition towards a sustainable energy system. LÄS MER

  3. 3. A co-simulation based framework for the analysis of integrated urban energy systems : Lessons from a Swedish case study

    Författare :Monica Arnaudo; Björn Laumert; Monika Topel; Louise Ödlund; KTH; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; Energy Technology; Energiteknik;

    Sammanfattning : As major responsible for CO2 emissions, the energy sector is urgently called to take action against climatechange. The integration of renewable energy resources is a solution that, however, comes with a challenge.In fact, renewables are often variable, unpredictable and distributed. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Norbornadienes for Solar Thermal Energy Storage and New Applications

    Författare :Ambra Dreos; Chalmers tekniska högskola; []
    Nyckelord :NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; NATURVETENSKAP; NATURAL SCIENCES; thermal energy storage; molecular logic; Solar energy; molecular switch- es; energy conversion; quadricyclane; molecular keypad locks; norbornadiene;

    Sammanfattning : The energy demand worldwide is steadily increasing, therefore it is fundamental to efficiently utilise renewable energy resources. Energy storage technologies are partic- ularly relevant in order to be able to exploit renewable energy resources such as solar energy, since these are typically intermittent and not evenly distributed. Sammanfattning : For a development to be considered sustainable, social, economic and environmental requirements must be met. The Swedish sustainable development goals, based on Agenda 2030, contain 16 national environmental quality goals. The National Board of Housing, Building and Planning is responsible for achieving the goal "A good built environment". LÄS MER
