6. Hydrogeochemistry of Fe and Mn in small boreal catchments
Sammanfattning : It is suggested that the overall understanding of the general hydrogeochemistry of a region is best understood from a landscape perspective. If so, this can provide useful information when planning monitoring programmes and influence of human activity. LÄS MER
7. Microbial biofilm communities associated with degradation of sprayed concrete in subsea tunnels
Sammanfattning : Deterioration of concrete leads to reduced structural strength implying high societal challenge with huge economic impact. In the Oslofjord subsea tunnel, complex microbial biofilm activity together with abiotic attack from saline groundwater are responsible for concrete matrix degradation and steel fiber corrosion. 8. Role of manganese redox cycling for trace metals in the Baltic Sea
Sammanfattning : Redox zones are defined by steep gradients of changing concentrations and changing redox potential. They form a transition zone between oxic and anoxic/sulfidic conditions, where nitrate, manganese and iron reduction occurs. These redox zones can be situated in the sediment as well as in the water column. In the Baltic Sea both types are found. LÄS MER
9. Some aspects of adsorption in displacement washing of pulp
Sammanfattning : AbstractThere are many aspects on how to improve the paper pulping process. In the washing sequence improvements to decrease the discharge to the environment can be achieved by closure of the liquid system and recycling liquid from other parts pulp process. LÄS MER
10. Defects in Austenitic Steels and Hard Metals - A DFT-based Study
Sammanfattning : Materials are never 100% pure due to the limitation of purification method or manufacturing process. Nor are they perfect, especially under deformation. The present work aims to explore different roles played by the defects in austenitic steels and hard metals. LÄS MER
