21. In vitro-solubility and supersaturation behavior of supersaturating drug delivery systems
Sammanfattning : The development of new pharmaceutical products has been challenged by the growing number of poorly water-soluble drugs, which often lead to suboptimal bioavailability. Various approaches, such as the use of amor-phous solid dispersions and cocrystals, have been used to improve the solu-bility, and subsequent bioavailability, of these drug molecules. LÄS MER
22. Hydrometallurgical upgrading of a tetrahedrite-rich copper concentrate
Sammanfattning : Removal of impurity elements in copper metallurgy is one of the major problems encountered today since pure copper ore reserves are becoming exhausted and the resources of unexploited ores often contain relatively high amounts of antimony, arsenic, mercury and bismuth, which need to be eliminated. The present work aims at pre-treating a tetrahedrite rich complex copper sulphide concentrate by selective dissolution of the impurities, therefore, upgrading it for pyrometallurgical processing. 23. Major leaching processes of combustion residues : characterisation, modelling and experimental investigation
Sammanfattning : Characterising leaching behaviour provides ample evidence toidentify the majorleaching processes of combustion residues.Neutralisation and chemical weatheringgovern the leachingreactions and control the release of major, minor and traceelementsfrom combustion residues, and are thus considered to bethe major leaching processes. 24. Drugs and polymers in dissolving solid dispersions : NMR imaging and spectroscopy
Sammanfattning : The number of poorly water-soluble drug substances in the pharmaceutical pipeline is increasing, and thereby also the need to design effective drug delivery systems providing high bioavailability. One favourable formulation approach is preparation of solid dispersions, where dispersing a poorly water-soluble drug in a water-soluble polymer matrix improves the dissolution behaviour and the bioavailability of the drug. 25. Vibrational Sum Frequency and Infrared Reflection/Absorption Spectroscopy Studies of the Air/Liquid and Liquid/Metal Interfaces
Sammanfattning : Atmospheric corrosion, the most common form of metal corrosion, occurs within the interfacial region between a solid, and the surrounding atmosphere. In fact three phases and two interfaces are involved: the gas, a thin liquid layer, a solid, the gas/liquid and the liquid/solid interfaces. LÄS MER
