This is done through close readings of three films that, each in their own way, play an important role in the history of this tradition: THE CHILDREN OF FROSTED MOUNTAIN (Rolf Husberg, 1945), THE CHILDREN OF BULLERBY VILLAGE (Olle Hellbom, 1960) and ELVIS!     Sammanfattning : Before the regulation of opium as a “narcotic” in Sweden in 1923, opium was not regulated for its intoxicating properties and was freely available. But not in any kind of shop. Opium was legally available only through the pharmacies. This thesis explores how this free availability of a narcotic was understood by its traders, the pharmacists. LÄS MER

Studien baseras på observationer och intervjuer i tre olika verksamheter för unga i åldern 12-16 år: 1) ett hem för vård eller boende, HVB, med egen skola, 2) en kommunal särskild undervisningsgrupp, f d skoldaghem, och 3) ett HVB för utredning och behandling utan egen skola.
