1. Objekt i svenskans historia. : En studie av varierande objektsplacering i fornsvenska
Sammanfattning : This thesis focuses on the distribution of objects in the history of Swedish. The primary focus of the thesis is the distribution of objects relative to negation, and the secondary focus is varying order of nominal arguments in Old Swedish (1225–1526). LÄS MER
2. Fatty Acid Self-Assembly at the Air–Water Interface : Curvature, Patterning, and Biomimetics: A Study by Neutron Reflectometry and Atomic Force Microscopy
Sammanfattning : For more than a hundred years of interfacial science, long chain fatty acids have been the primary system for the study of floating monolayers at the air–water interface due to their amphiphilic nature and system simplicity: an insoluble hydrocarbon chain and a soluble carboxyl group at a flat air–water interface. Despite―or perhaps rather due to―the assumed simplicity of such systems and the maturity of the research field, the seemingly fundamentally rooted notion of a two-dimensional water surface has yet to be challenged. 3. Resilient Resource Allocation for Service Placement in Mobile Edge Clouds
Sammanfattning : Mobile edge computing makes available distributed computation and stor-age resources in close proximity to end users and allows to provide low-latencyand high-capacity services within mobile networks. Therefore, mobile edgecomputing is emerging as a promising architecture for hosting critical ser-vices with stringent latency and performance requirements, which otherwiseare challenging to be addressed in conventional cloud computing architectures. 4.
5. Exocytosis in Type 2 Diabetes- Functional and genetic studies of hormone secretion
Sammanfattning : Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is characterized by dysregulated beta-and alpha-cell hormone secretion leading to elevated blood glucose levels. Several proteins are crucial in maintaining exocytosis of the hormone-containing granules such as Syntaxin1A (Stx1A), SNAP25, Munc-18 (Stxbp1) and the family of Synaptotagmins (Syts). LÄS MER
