  1. 1. Policy induced technological change : Productivity and innovation effects in biomass-using industry and energy generation

    Författare :Johan Brolund; Magnus Lindmark; Luleå tekniska universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; Economics; Nationalekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : The main objective of this thesis is to investigate the impact of public environmental policy on technological change in the biomass-using industry and energy generation. The thesis contains an introductory part followed by the empirical investigation which is divided into two self-contained articles. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Measurement systems and process orientation with focus on the order process

    Författare :Anders Ljungberg; Teknisk logistik; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; process measurement; measurement systems; process management; measurement; Technological sciences; Teknik;

    Sammanfattning : The inability of organisations to develop successfully and their lack of a holistic view and of relevant quantitative facts are factors that played a major role in my choice of a research area for this and my licentiate thesis (Ljungberg, 1994). These two theses together represent the work conducted for the PhD degree. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Impacts of Climate Policy and Natural Disasters: Evidence from China

    Författare :Ruijie Tian; Göteborgs universitet; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES; carbon pricing; directed technological change; innovation; heterogeneous firms; independence property; transaction costs; emissions reduction; allowances; production networks; resilience; diversification; shock transmission; supply chains; natural disasters;

    Sammanfattning : The last decade has seen heightened interest in carbon pricing to reduce greenhouse gas emissions responsible for anthropogenic climate change. Over the past decade, China–responsible for over a quarter of global carbon emissions–has aimed to reduce its emissions through an ambitious Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) which charges certain firms for the greenhouse gases they emit. 4. 4. Dating for innovation : recognizing and creating opportunities in fluid environments through collaborative interorganizational relationships

    Författare :Cassandra Marshall; Handelshögskolan i Stockholm; []
    Nyckelord :SAMHÄLLSVETENSKAP; SOCIAL SCIENCES;

    Sammanfattning : Both practice and theory present good reason to believe that collaborative interorganizational relationships have become particularly important for innovation and new product development in industries characterized by rapid technological change and dynamic competition. Even though collaboration across organizational boundaries represents an important change in the way companies innovate and develop new products (services and processes), it appears as if the process and practical steps of such arrangements are scantly explored. 5. 5. Energy Policy Instruments Perspectives on their Choice, Combination and Evaluation

    Författare :Kerstin Åstrand; Miljö- och energisystem; []
    Nyckelord :TEKNIK OCH TEKNOLOGIER; ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY; energy systems; policy instrument choice; socio-technical systems; policy instrument combination; Energiforskning; Energy research; Samhällsvetenskaper; Social sciences; Sweden.; evaluation; Environmental technology; pollution control; Miljöteknik; wind energy policy; green certificate trading scheme; market creation; wind power; Public policy instruments; wind turbine development; kontroll av utsläpp; renewable energy; energy policy;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract The thesis aims at providing a better understanding of public policy instruments used in policy-making within the energy sector, particularly regarding their role in the change towards an increased use of renewable energy sources for generation of electricity. The research was guided by an underlying assumption that a markedly higher proportion of the energy generated from renewable sources can be considerably enhanced by use of policy instruments that support the development and the market creation of new, renewable energy technologies.
