1. Capturing Air Pollutants : Photochemical Adsorption and Degradation of SO2, NO2 and CO2 on Titanium Dioxide
Sammanfattning : Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a material with many useful properties. It is used most widely as a pigment in white paint, although in technological research it is better known for its ability to catalyze chemical reactions during light absorption. LÄS MER
2. Porous Cerium Dioxide for Catalytic Applications
Sammanfattning : Mesoporous cerium dioxide with high crystallinity has been synthesized and studied by TEM, SEM, nitrogen adsorption, PXRD, AFM, and SAXS. The catalytic properties of the materials have been investigated The results of the catalysis experiments were correlated with high resolution TEM investigations of the corresponding material, and it was found that the exposed crystallographic facets play an important role in the conversion of carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide. 3. Carbon Dioxide in Inland Waters : Drivers and Mechanisms Across Spatial and Temporal Scales
Sammanfattning : Inland waters are an essential component of the global carbon cycle as they are very active sites for carbon transformation processes. Much of this carbon is transformed into the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide (CO2) and emitted into the atmosphere. LÄS MER
4. Zirconium dioxide based dental restorations : studies on clinical survival and fracture behaviour
5. Remote Measurements of Ship Emissions
Sammanfattning : The combustion of sulphur-containing fossil fuels gives rise to emissions of sulphurdioxide. Nitrogen oxides are also emitted when fuels are burned. The InternationalMaritime Organization (IMO) has ratified regulations regarding Sulphur Fuel Content(SFC) and NOx emissions from the shipping sector. LÄS MER
