1. Standardization of Real Property Rights and Public Regulations : The Legal Cadastral Domain Model
Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis is to develop a conceptual model for classification of real property rights and public regulations. The model is called the Legal Cadastral Domain Model. The model is intended to be a terminological framework for cross-border exchange of cadastral information. LÄS MER
2. Resin transfer moulded composite materials : processing, structure, property relationships
Sammanfattning : This thesis contains analysis of the performance of polymer composites manufactured by resin transfer moulding (RTM). The thesis consists of six papers, where the first two deals with the tensile strength of composites reinforced with randomly oriented glass fibres, which still is the most common reinforcement in RTM manufacturing. 3. Computational studies on 2D and 3D amorphous solids : Investigation of structure-property relationship
Sammanfattning : Amorphous materials represent a large and diverse family, with many questions still remaining unanswered regarding their structure-property relationship. The structural complexity of these materials poses challenges for simulations in contrast to crystalline materials where density functional theory (DFT) can be used easily by exploiting the translation symmetry. 4. Reasoning by Analogy - A Study on Analogy-Based Arguments in Law
Sammanfattning : This doctoral dissertation is a study on analogy-based arguments in law. Its overarching aim is to clarify reasoning by analogy in law. A model is proposed for analyzing and assessing arguments from analogy in law. LÄS MER
5. Turbulence-droplet interaction modelled by One-Dimensional-Turbulence
Sammanfattning : A stochastic model to study droplet/particle influence on the gas phase using the One-Dimensional-Turbulence model (ODT) is evaluated. To address one of the major problems for multiphase flow simulations, namely computational costs, the dimension-reduced model is used with the goal of predicting certain classes of these flows more efficiently.
