1. Representationer, visualisering och resonemang i geometri : Praktiknära studier i digitala lärmiljöer
Sammanfattning : The aim of this dissertation was to gain a deeper understanding of how teaching in digital environments can be designed to give students opportunities to develop knowledge in two- and three-dimensional geometry. The dissertation consists of two sub-studies, the first using an ethnographic approach in which the researcher followed a teacher's teaching in a digital environment, in a Grade 9 class for a period of five weeks. 2. "Tekniken utan en lärare är ingenting" : En studie om användande av teknik i geometriundervisning
Sammanfattning : Målet med denna avhandling är att bidra med kunskap om hur digital teknik kan bidra till att utveckla matematikundervisning. I studien riktades intresset mot undervisning i tredimensionell geometri som skedde med stöd av interaktiva skrivtavlor. LÄS MER
3. Image Reconstruction and Optical Flow Estimation on Image Sequences with Differently Exposed Frames
Sammanfattning : The main objective for digital image- and video camera systems is to reproduce a real-world scene in such a way that a high visual quality is obtained. A crucial aspect in this regard is, naturally, the quality of the hardware components of the camera device. There are, however, always some undesired limitations imposed by the sensor of the camera. 4. Digital Beamforming Focal Plane Arrays for Radio Astronomy and Space-Borne Passive Remote Sensing
Sammanfattning : Dense Phased Array Feeds (PAFs) for reflector antennas have numerous advantages over traditional cluster feeds of horns in a one-horn-per-beam configuration, especially in RF-imaging applications which require multiple simultaneously formed and closely overlapping beams. However, the accurate analysis and design of such PAF systems represents a challenging problem, both from an EM-modeling and beamforming optimization point of view. LÄS MER
5. Methods for Direct Optimal Control of Multibody Systems
Sammanfattning : In this thesis we present practical tools and techniques to numerically solve optimal control problems involving multibody systems. The driving application for the thesis has been developing motion planning tools for industrial robots and digital humans. LÄS MER
