17. New perspectives on imaging of urinary tract infections in infants
Sammanfattning : Background: Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common disease in infants that may lead to renal damage with an increased risk of long term complications. The diagnostic imaging aims to identify risk factors as underlying urinary tract abnormalities and renal involvement of the infection for prevention of long term adverse outcome. LÄS MER
18. Results and complications of endovascular neurointerventions in intracranial aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, evaluated by conventional angiography and diffusion-perfusion MRI
Sammanfattning : Aims - To describe and evaluate the efficacy and safety of intra-arterial fibrinolysis and the clinical outcome in SAH patients with thromboembolic complications during endovascular coiling of a ruptured aneurysm. (Paper I) - To describe the use and feasibility of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), especially diffusion and perfusion imaging, in three patients treated endovascularly for various cerebrovascular disorders. 19. Optimisation in strategies in diffusion tensor MR imaging
Sammanfattning : With diffusion MR imaging, the Brownian motion (or self-diffusion) of water molecules is measured. In the corresponding ADC (Apparent Diffusion Coefficient) image, each image element (voxel) represents the average diffusion. In MRI, the diffusion is measured with diffusion gradients along certain directions in space. LÄS MER
20. Targeted radiotherapy in metastatic neuroendocrine tumours: clinical and experimental studies
Sammanfattning : ABSTRACT Neuroendocrine tumours (NET) often present at a metastatic stage, which diminishes the possibility for curative surgery. Peptide receptor radiotherapy (PRRT) with 177Lu-DOTATATE targets somatostatin receptors, which are overexpressed on NET cells. PRRT results in symptom relief and often tumour control of NETs, but rarely cure. LÄS MER
